SSAB WEAR PLATE RANGE

Hardox® Wear Plate Grades

Choose by wear type, impact exposure, required plate thickness and workshop process. The listed properties are producer reference ranges; confirm the latest SSAB data sheet for your exact dimensions.

Hardox® HiAce and HiTuf address specific service conditions. Hardox® Extreme uses HRC in its producer data; HRC and HBW are separate hardness scales; use the scale specified for each grade.
Grade ranges shown for plate products. Sheet dimensions and product forms are listed separately in SSAB’s dimension program.
SELECT BY WEAR CONDITION

Which Hardox® Grade Fits Your Application?

Wear selection depends on abrasion type, impact, material flow, temperature, corrosion, plate support and fabrication design.

STRUCTURAL WEAR

Wear + Impact + Fabrication

Review Hardox® 400, 450, 500 Tuf and HiTuf for equipment parts where structural performance and impact toughness are part of the design.

SEVERE ABRASION

Sliding Wear & Liner Duty

Review Hardox® 500, 550, 600 and Extreme for liners, chutes, crushers, screens and other wear-intensive components.

SPECIAL ENVIRONMENTS

Corrosion & Elevated Temperature

Review Hardox® HiAce for combined abrasive, corrosive and high-temperature service conditions.

Wear life depends on the abrasive material, impact level, operating temperature, corrosive medium, plate support and selected thickness. Include these details when requesting a grade recommendation.
PLATE RANGE & HARDNESS

PLATE CONDITION & DIMENSIONS

Specify Thickness, Width, Length and Edge Condition

Your RFQ should identify the exact Hardox® grade and the plate dimensions for each line item. Plate and sheet dimension programs are separate, and the available range depends on the selected grade.

  • Nominal thickness, width and length for every plate size
  • Mill edge or cut edge requirement
  • Flatness, thickness tolerance and surface acceptance
  • Quantity per size and required shipment lot

SSAB publishes grade-specific dimensional programs and Hardox® guarantees. The applicable tolerance class and inspection method should be confirmed with the ordered product.
