The coating designation identifies the total metallic coating mass on both sheet faces. Surface condition and test acceptance are defined by the selected standard.

Galvalume is a common market name for steel sheet coated by a hot-dip process with an aluminium-zinc-silicon alloy, typically 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon by mass.
Common standards include EN 10346 for continuously hot-dip coated flat products, JIS G 3321 for hot-dip 55% aluminium-zinc coated sheet and strip, and ASTM A792/A792M for 55% aluminium-zinc alloy-coated steel sheet.
DX51D+AZ is an EN grade and coating designation. SGLCC is a JIS commercial-quality designation under JIS G 3321. Each order follows its own grade, coating and inspection requirements.
Choose the coating designation from your project specification and exposure requirements. Include the standard, unit system and coating test basis in the RFQ so the quotation matches your acceptance criteria.
The standards cover coated strip / coil and cut-length sheet products. Corrugated sheet is also included in JIS G 3321 when formed to the specified profile and dimensions.
