Order against the matching plate thickness band. A 295 MPa minimum yield requirement applies only to the first band.
| Plate thickness t | Min. yield ReL / Rp0.2 | Tensile strength Rm | Min. elongation A |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6–60 mm | ≥295 MPa | 450–590 MPa | ≥19% |
| >60–100 mm | ≥275 MPa | 450–590 MPa | ≥19% |
| >100–200 mm | ≥255 MPa | 440–580 MPa | ≥19% |
Minimum lower yield strength in the first nominal thickness band; tensile strength 450–590 MPa.
Mid-thickness material uses its own minimum yield, despite the same 450–590 MPa tensile range.
Thicker material is specified at 440–580 MPa tensile strength; check the correct mill capability.
GB/T 713.2-2023 Table 2: ReL is the lower yield strength; Rp0.2 may be used where a distinct yield phenomenon is absent. Material-test specimen and general acceptance provisions follow GB/T 713.1 and the ordered edition.
For heated pressure equipment, match the material thickness and required test temperature to the published minimum elevated-temperature strength.
| Plate thickness | At 200°C | At 250°C | At 300°C | At 400°C | At 500°C |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| >20–60 mm | 240 MPa | 225 MPa | 210 MPa | 189 MPa | 174 MPa |
| >60–100 mm | 220 MPa | 210 MPa | 196 MPa | 176 MPa | 162 MPa |
| >100–200 mm | 210 MPa | 199 MPa | 185 MPa | 165 MPa | 150 MPa |
For >20–60 mm plate, Table 3 lists at least 240 MPa at 200°C and 174 MPa at 500°C. These values are not the room-temperature yield requirement.
GB/T 713.2 allows high-temperature tensile testing upon buyer request for plate thicker than 20 mm. Specify temperature, procedure, reporting and any equipment-code conditions.
Check the actual heat analysis rather than inferring weldability or high-temperature behavior from the grade name alone.
| Cast-analysis element | Mass-fraction requirement |
|---|---|
| Carbon (C) | 0.08–0.18% |
| Silicon (Si) | 0.15–0.40% |
| Manganese (Mn) | 0.40–0.70% |
| Chromium (Cr) | 0.80–1.20% |
| Molybdenum (Mo) | 0.45–0.60% |
| Phosphorus (P) | ≤0.025% |
| Sulfur (S) | ≤0.010% |
| Nickel (Ni) | ≤0.30% |
| Copper (Cu) | ≤0.30% |
