Compared with general-forming DC01, DC04 uses tighter maximum carbon, manganese, phosphorus and sulfur limits. These are material selection inputs rather than a promise that every die design will draw successfully.
Use the exact thickness band and forming tests when selecting DC04 for a drawn component.

The allowable yield limit is 210 MPa in the principal gauge range above 0.70 mm, with thin-gauge adjustments under the standard.
r90 characterizes plastic strain anisotropy relevant to sheet thinning in drawing. The specified limit depends on material thickness.
n90 describes strain hardening and is one input when evaluating localized necking during stamping.
Surface texture and inspected-side requirements influence die lubrication, visible appearance and downstream coating performance.
Normal surface quality for drawn components where ordinary surface appearance is acceptable. Match allowable marks to the finishing operation.
Improved surface quality for a more demanding visible or coated face. Confirm the inspected side and appearance acceptance criteria.

DC04, steel number 1.0338, is an EN 10130 cold-rolled low-carbon flat steel grade designed for deep drawing. It is supplied in coil or converted flat forms within the applicable product scope.
DC01 is primarily a general-forming grade. DC04 has tighter chemistry and deep-drawing requirements, including specified r90 and n90 values over applicable thickness ranges. The part drawing and press trial determine suitability.
The EN 10130 reference range is 270–350 MPa. Maximum yield strength and minimum A80 elongation depend on thickness and test conditions; review the mechanical-property table and MTC.
For relevant gauge ranges at or above 0.50 mm, the usual EN 10130 minimum n90 is 0.180; r90 is at least 1.6 up to 2.00 mm and at least 1.4 above 2.00 mm. Confirm the standard edition and testing conditions.
DC04 may be evaluated for selected automotive sheet-metal stampings. OEM-specific requirements, tooling trials, dimensional tolerances, cosmetic criteria and engineering approval control the material selection.
A is normal surface quality; B is improved surface quality. State the better/visible side and surface texture separately, especially for exposed or painted parts.
For skin-passed DC04, EN 10130 specifies a six-month period regarding the absence of stretcher-strain marks from the time the material is made available under its stated conditions. Forming schedule and storage still matter.
A master coil may be slit to narrower strips if the processing route and final tolerances can be agreed. Send target strip width, gauge, edge-burr limit, coil ID and tonnage.
Use nominal kg/m = thickness (mm) × width (mm) × 0.00785. Divide net coil mass in kg by the result. Packing and oil are excluded from the theoretical steel weight.
Specify the EN standard edition, chemical and mechanical acceptance, r90/n90 where applicable, surface A/B and texture, dimensional tolerance class, and the desired EN 10204 inspection document before quoting.
Send the EN grade, thickness, width, surface finish, drawing requirements, coil ID and required tonnage. Add your part drawing and test criteria to receive an order-specific quotation subject to verified material and processing availability.
Send your required grade, dimensions, quantity and destination. Our team will review the inquiry.
